Dear Clarence
It was certainly wonderfully nice of you and the others who gave so liberally to make my trip possible + pleasant. Not knowing who these kind people are I cannot thank them personally + so shall have to rely on your kindness to express my gratitude for their kindness + thoughtfulness. The gift was quite overwhelming and far beyond anything which I personally merited. The trip was most enjoyable + we both feel much better for it. Please thank the boys for me as you can.
