I recorded this video along with others on 22-Jul-07 during another night of insomnia. In this video, I perform my original instrumental guitar composition "Spirits of the Sea".
ABOUT THE TECHNIQUES

The guitar tuning for this song is DADF#AD and I apply basic fingerstyle techniques such as natural harmonics, among others. The only effects I use for the guitar are EQ and a touch of reverb recorded in stereo.
ABOUT THE COMPOSITION

I composed this tune in mid 2004 and it is my first composition in open tuning. It represents the path of recovery to overcoming addictions, depression and other ailments of the body, mind and soul. This recovery is only possible when you let go to the will of God and come to realize that only His power can restore our sanity.
My source of inspiration to compose this song is the life-saving impact I received from meditating on the following words:
"...Abandon yourself to God as you understand God. Admit your faults to Him and to your fellows. Clear away the wreckage of your past. Give freely of what you find and join us. We shall be with you in the Fellowship of the Spirit, and you will surely meet some of us as you trudge 'the Road of Happy Destiny'.
