Plus qu’un simple réconfort
Lorsque je me sens déprimé, je me répète des phrases du genre : « La douleur est la pierre de touche du progrès… », « Ne crains aucun mal … », « Cela aussi passera … », « Cette expérience peut être bénéfique … » Ces fragments de prière apportent bien davantage qu’un simple réconfort. Ils me maintiennent sur la voie de la véritable acceptation ; ils contrecarrent ma propension à la culpabilité, à la dépression, à la révolte, à l’orgueil. Et parfois, ils m’apportent le courage de changer les choses que je peux changer et la sagesse d’en connaître la différence.
