This "chip" was presented to Larry S. of Portland, Oregon in 1948 on the event of his 90th day sober. Every Six Months a "Stone" would be rivited to the Red Felt "Bottle" and returned to Larry. This "chip" in this condition would represent 12 years of sobriety.
We understand that these are still made and used by sober drunks in the West Denver area today.

Cette plaquette a été offerte à Larry S. de Portland, Oregon en 1948 le jour de ses 90 jours d'abstinence. Tous les 6 mois, une nouvelle "pierre" était fixée à la Bouteille Rouge en feutre, puis restituée à Larry. Cette plaquette représenterait donc 12 ans d'abstinence.

Nous pensons que cette pratique est toujours d'actualité dans la région de West Denver.
