The professional speakers are:

 

Dr Jonathan Chick, a graduate in Natural Science with Psychology and Medicine, he worked as Consultant Psychiatrist at the Royal Edinburgh Hospital, Alcohol Problems Service and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Edinburgh. Now, as Honorary Professor at the School of Health Sciences, Queen Margaret University, he continues research into causes and treatments for alcohol problems. He has been an advisor on alcohol problems to the World Health Organization, government and parliamentary bodies in Australia, Canada, USA, Brazil, as well as the UK.

Dr Chick is now a non-alcoholic Trustee on the General Service Board of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Caroline Bonds is the Senior Project Manager at the National Offender Management Service (NOMS) which is the Government Agency dealing with Drug and Alcohol misuse. Her role in NOMS means working closely with the Home Office and the Dept of Health to support the drug and alcohol recovery programme within the Prison Service.
