In terms of treatment, 1835 House employs its own version of the Alcoholics Anonymous 12-step program that insists upon a commitment to total abstinence and living sober.
In addition to meetings at the House, the residents are also expected to attend at least four "outside" meetings of Alcoholics Anonymous or Narcotic Anonymous groups
