During his 60 years of sobriety, Martin says the Burbank Group hasn’t changed much except that more people now identify as alcoholic/addict. He recalls,”You didn’t hear too much about addiction, early on. I think they were more sincere back then and trying harder [to stay sober] because we weren’t sure it was going to work.”
After 43 years, Jean still attends meetings at the Burbank Group and is still working the Steps.
