East Hampton Group
This meeting began in August of 1948 in the Methodist Church Hall of East Hampton, also known as the Session House of the Methodist Church. A letter written to the New York Alcoholic Foundation dated August 16, 1948 by group secretary, Elizabeth, stated that the group had 10 members. At that time the only other option for alcoholics on the east end of Long Island was the Southhampton Group.
