68 ans de sobriété active

Sobre depuis le 14 avril 1944 

Nous apprenons le décès de  Ruth O'Neil , de Toms River, New Jersey, à l'âge de 97 ans, le 22 avril 2012. 

Elle a connu et aidé le Dr William D. Silkworth ("The Doctor's Opinion", dans le Big Book)

A un meeting à Brooklyn, NY, quelques mois après son début d'abstinence, elle reçut une carte d'un membre AA, avec d'un côté les 4 Absolus chers au Mouvement Oxford (Absolute Honesty, Absolute Unselfishness, Absolute Love, Absolute Purity) et de l'autre la prière ci-dessous, qu'elle récitait chaque jour et lors de partages en groupe 

Thank You, dear God, for another day,
The chance to live in a decent way,
To feel again the joy of living
and happiness that comes from giving.
Thank You for friends who can understand
and the peace that flows from Your loving hand.
Help me to wake with the morning sun,
With the prayer today, "Thy will be done."
For with Your help I will find the way.
Thank You again, dear God, for AA.
