The problems that Tony has had fighting alcoholism are well-documented.
And it is a battle that he is determined to win.
So much so, he travels across to Istanbul on a regular basis because there is no Alcoholics Anonymous set-up in Azerbaijan. Tony explained: “The nearest one is Istanbul and it is important that I make that journey when I can.
“It is important that I mix with people of a like-mind as often as I can. Without those meetings you can drift into a state of mind that you don’t need them.”
