Amagansett Men's Room was started by Bryant, Bill, Pope and Fred. Bryant spearheaded the idea.This meeting began in July of 1993 and in six months grew to 15 to 20 men and has now grown to 40 to 55 men. Bryant described Father Donald Dismount M.S.G.R. as a great friend of A.A. who gave them the space for free for two years till they could start to pay rent. He was inspired by women who started a meeting at the East Hampton Senior Citizen's Center and decided to start a man's meeting and I would say, luckily, for alcohol anonymous as this meeting I believe has saved many lives.
